Polo Women's Club

Our local Polo Women's Club was organized in 1921.

Our club members work together selecting projects and programs based on interests and needs in our community, while benefiting from the expertise and support at district, state, regional, and national levels.

Women of all ages, interests, and diversity are welcome. The club members will find fulfillment in working towards the club's objectives and in the associations and relationships they make in the Polo Women's Club.

Regular club meetings are held the second Monday of each month, normally 1:00 PM, at the KSB Clinic Community Room in Polo.

April- National Child Abuse Prevention Month

Each year, we partner with Prevent Child Abuse Illinois. Our mayor reads the proclamation at the first April City Council meeting as well as on the day of the pinwheel planting at our City Park. Pinwheels are planted at the park as well as all three schools. The blue pinwheel represents innocence is a national symbol for child abuse prevention. Pinwheels reflect the bright future all children deserve. Let's all work together to prevent child abuse.

October-November -Annual Coat Drive

Since 2019 we are proud to sponsor an annual coat drive where we accept donations of new and slightly used coats, hats, gloves, and scarves for men, women and children.  We reach out to local churches and businesses and place donation boxes that are collected by our members on a weekly basis. Members then inspect and sort each item and transport them to Crossroads Community Church in Polo where they are distributed free of charge to those who are in need at a one-day event.  Members assist clients in finding just the right item for many individuals and families that take advantage of this community event.
