
The City of Polo is hiring for a part-time public works employee. Applications deadline is Friday, March 21st by 5:00 PM. Applications are available at City Hall or can be downloaded online.


The City of Polo is hiring for lifeguards and concession stand personnel for the 2025 season. Applications can be downloaded from our website or picked up at City Hall. Applications must be in by March 14th by 5:00 PM.


A ring was discovered around 15 years ago. If you lost a ring near the Polo Senior Center in 2010, don't hesitate to get in touch with the Polo Police Department with a description of the ring to claim. The Polo Police Department can be reached at 815-946-3412.

The expired medication drop-off is now available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 A.M. until 6 P.M. at the Polo Police Department.
The only accepted items are prescription pills.
No aerosols
No vitamins
No liquids
No syringes

They will be on Tuesday, October 31, 2023, from 4-7 PM.

On Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 10:30 AM-12:00 PM State Representatives Tony McCombie and Brad Fritts will have office hours at Polo City Hall. The Representatives will attend if their schedule permits. District staff will be available to discuss any concerns or questions any person may have.

Last night at the Polo City Council meeting, the Polo City Council accepted the resignation of Park Board President, Larry Loomis. Larry Loomis served the Polo Park Board for 47 years! We want to thank Larry for his dedicated time and service. His support allows us to continue to fulfill our mission and serve our citizens in our community each year.

The City of Polo has a new text messaging system! You can use this system to communicate with City Hall. If you want to send a report of a pothole, a down power line, missed garbage or recycling, etc. you can send us a text!
We also have two alert systems one for general alerts and the other is for emergency alerts. The general alert system will be for information regarding City Council meetings, office closures, etc. The emergency alerts will be for snow parking information, water main breaks, etc.
